Praise Him Morning and Night

Psalm 92:1-2

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindess in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

I read this verse this week and it gave me such a boost. I am not entirely sure why, but it gave me energy. It goes to show the Word is living and breathing. I love it when the Holy Spirit speaks to me through God’s Word, it is like these verses become so much more than just words, but a way of life and they are written on my heart.

It is good to give thanks unto the Lord and sing praises unto His name! I wish I had the singing voice of my sisters or my best friends, they sing beautifully. I have a little mouse voice, but nevertheless I’ll sing for Jesus in my kitchen and around my house because He is worthy of praise.

The word ‘Lovingkindness’ is so beautiful, to be wrapped in God’s love is where we want to be. Surrounded by His presence and reflecting on our great God, who loves us so much He sent His only son to die for us.

We should make it a ritual every morning, to praise God for His blessings and think about how He works for the good of the ones He loves.

When we go to our beds at night we should thank Him for His faithfulness. God is faithful in the small things, His provision for our families for food and clothing. And God is faithful in the big, He sent His son to save the lost. We have hope because of Jesus Christ.

Our great God is worthy, no amount of praise is too much. Oh what an awesome God we serve.

  2. What a timely reminder. Just recently I’ve returned to an old practice of thanking God before going to sleep. No petitions–tempted as I might be. No supplications. Only Thanksgiving for blessings, help, strength, deliverance, protection, provision, even blessings and wonders not yet seen by the human Spirit. No Caroline, we can’t thank God too much, can we? Thank you!
